DateStringConverter is prone to failure

Created: 06/May/11 10:28 AM   Updated: 09/May/11 09:58 AM   Resolved: 06/May/11 10:41 AM
Component/s: Java Types
Affects Version/s: 2.2.3, 3.0.0.m3
Fix Version/s: 3.0.0.m4

 Description  « Hide
DateStringConverter relies on behaviour in javadocs, and this doesn't work in practice certainly on recent JDK's. Better way would be to use a SimpleDateFormat to actually format the string like the javadoc says, and then use the same SimpleDateFormat to do the conversion back to Date
