Created: 09/Dec/13 05:34 PM   Updated: 07/Jun/14 05:19 PM   Resolved: 06/Jun/14 04:27 PM
Component/s: None
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: 4.0.0.release

 Description  « Hide
See https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-6580

The new method is like this :-

// Create a connection to the cluster.
HConnection connection = HConnectionManager.createConnection(Configuration);
HTableInterface table = connection.getTable("myTable");
// use table as needed, the table returned is lightweight
table.close();
// use the connection for other access to the cluster
connection.close();

This will actually mean that we can likely get rid of HBaseConnectionPool and merge HBaseManagedConnection back into ConnectionFactoryImpl - so its like the other store plugins

GitHub master removes usage of HTablePool and uses HConnection as per HBase migration doc
