when using the javax.cache the entities fails to persist.
 with exception java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot use as a key: 'org.datanucleus.identity.IdentityReference@5d2aea3e'

Google have their own plugin (that you're using) and that is the place to report problems with their datastore
