JDOQL2/JPQL2 : Change handling of input parameters to make use of SQLText "parameters" for more flexibility

Created: 16/Oct/09 02:08 PM   Updated: 23/Oct/09 04:08 PM   Resolved: 19/Oct/09 04:17 PM
Component/s: Queries
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: 2.0.0.m3

 Description  « Hide
When we generate an SQL statement it is made up of SQLText components. This in turn has the parameters, in the order they are placed in the statement. If we make use of this we just need to have a mechanism for assigning new values to the parameters based on parameter names/positions.

The current process involves too much handling of positions and breaks down when we need to use a SQLExpression more than once (it omits any use of parameters in the occurrences)
